Winter is cold walks, frozen cheeks, hot drinks, yarn and needles, thrifting and repurposing, cleaning, rearranging, sewing, hot baths, more walks, hand knit hats, dry hands, space heater, cabin fever, tv marathons.

I forgot snow looked like glitter until this winter.

Made the best hot chocolate last night. It was a mixture of probably three different kinds of cocoa with steamed milk and maple syrup. Homemade whipped cream on top with a bit of vanilla and maple syrup added. Throw in a pinch of salt and a splash of leftover coffee if you’re into that (I am in a big way). Each sip has a bit of fluffy cold cream that balances and cools down the rich hot chocolate that would otherwise burn your throat. Heaven.

p.s. trying to keep my ravlery updated with some of my recent handknits so if you’d like more details on the knits in this post you can find them there.
